Web24. aug 2024 · You can run Red-Koat in the tank, you can push Red-Koat in the tank, you could probably roll Red-Koat on with a roller or lay it on with a very fine paint brush if you can get your hand in any opening if it is that big of a tank. But you absolutly HAVE to drain exess back out after the coating process other wise it WILL "pool" and will NOT cure. Web17. aug 2015 · I remember using a hair dryer on the tank to remove the water after rinsing and let it sit for a day. After that, I prepped the tank per the Red-Kote instructions. I used Acetone (since it absorbs water) as an initial rinse then MEK (found at LOWES) was used to thin Red-Kote since the instructions said it would be quicker drying.
