WebYou actually don't need to be in Big Picture mode to get to the controller Settings. Just go to Settings -> Controller -> General Controller Settings. Enable the Xbox or PS4 Configuration Support and the right click any game to set the controller up. Sometimes the defaults are not the best so make sure to choose the standard one and hit Apply. Webyou have to turn on the controller in options. the steam version has this for sure. if you don't have to set the controls manually it has default controller support.
